Instrumentation and Control Engineering play a crucial role in contemporary industries. As an interdisciplinary field, Instrumentation Technology is at the forefront of advancing new and intelligent sensors and smart transducers. This branch of engineering originates from both electrical and electronics engineering, encompassing subjects from electronics, electrical, mechanical, chemical, and computing streams. In essence, it revolves around the domains of measurement, automation, and control processes.
The department boasts specialized laboratories such as the Instrumentation & Process Control lab, Analog and Digital Circuits Lab, and Computer Lab. Our laboratories are equipped with essential instruments for control systems and various electronic measurements, including voltage, current, bridges, demonstrative CRO, and transducers. The Process Control laboratory features diverse process control stations and PLC setups. Additionally, students receive training in various software applications in the department’s computer lab, aligning with the syllabus requirements. Graduates from our program often find employment in core Instrumentation and allied industries, software companies, and may even venture into successful entrepreneurship.
